Six Frisco ISD students had artwork selected to be a part of the 2018 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month State Capitol Exhibit.

The young artists are Stephanie Yu of Curtsinger Elementary, Srinivas Devarajugettu of Scoggins Middle School, Turner Killingsworth of Centennial High School, Gwen Sawyer of Frisco High School, Ryan David Li of Heritage High School and Yae-Jin Cho of Reedy High School.

Each year, districts from across the state submit artwork made by Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade student artists to be considered for exhibition.

Selected student artwork from approximately 50 school districts across Texas will be exhibited in two Austin locations: the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from Feb. 25-March 11 and the Lower Rotunda at the State Capitol from March 18-26.

There will be a special awards program and reception for the students on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.
