The non-profit that exists exclusively to benefit Frisco ISD students and staff is hoping to grow its reach in the 2017-18 school year and impact even more students and educators.

The Frisco Education Foundation hopes to raise $100,000 by July 31 through its I’M IN campaign, a fundraising effort aimed at getting community stakeholders – parents, educators, administration and citizens at large – to be INvolved, be INvested and work to INspire INnovation.

Members of the Frisco ISD community can help the FEF reach their goal by making tax-deductible donations. Every dollar counts, and every dollar is impactful whether $5 or $500,000.

“The Frisco Education Foundation is grateful for each and every donation. No matter how large or small, it makes a difference,” said Foundation Director Allison Miller. “Our supporters see first-hand how their contributions change lives and benefit student learning – whether through a classroom grant, student scholarship or participation in our annual summer camp for middle school students.”

Since 1999, FEF has provided more than $657,000 in grants to FISD educators and $4,500,000 in scholarships to graduating FISD seniors, including 821 scholarships worth more than $670,000 to the Class of 2017.

Funds from the I’M IN campaign will provide additional college scholarships, educational programs and teacher grants for Frisco ISD students and teachers. Funds from the campaign will also be used to enhance Mindbender Academy, a summer camp currently underway that encourages Frisco ISD middle school students to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEaM).
