Students Take Top Spots at DECA International Conference

Seven Frisco ISD students finished in the top 10 and top 20 in competitive events at the DECA International Career Development Conference held last month in Anaheim, California.

More than 19,000 high school students from all 50 states and seven countries took part in the competition, including more than 70 from FISD. 

DECA is a student organization dedicated to preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Students qualify for the international conference through their participation in competitive events, which build business, communication and problem-solving skills.

Each competition had an average of 250 student competitors. Finishing the top 10 and 20 is a tremendous feat. Congratulations to the following FISD winners:
