Frisco ISD trustees met Tuesday to review applications from eight search firms seeking to guide the District through its upcoming search to replace current Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Lyon, who announced last month he is retiring in June. Lyon has spent 31 years in public education, the past four in FISD.
During the special Board meeting, trustees narrowed their pool to four firms – Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates of Illinois, Jenny Preston Educational Consulting of Fairview, Ray & Associates of Iowa and Thompson & Horton LLP of Houston.
Each group will present proposals to the Board in open session next Monday, April 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the FISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive.
Trustees are expected to vote on a firm later that night as part the regularly-scheduled portion of the School Board meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
