Shout Out to FISD Former Students - David Shook, FHS Class of 2001
Eagle photo/Dave McDermand - image: David Shook FHS 2001David Shook, FHS Class of 2001, is shaking things up at Texas A&M
In his senior year at A&M, David Shook has already proven himself to be quite the mover and shaker, literally.

Featured in the Bryan-College Station Eagle in December, Shook is standing out among his peers in the civil engineering department for his design and construction of an earthquake simulator - the largest of its kind in the state. Working on such an impressive project is giving him a jump start as he prepares to graduate this spring and move right into graduate school.

As a student at FHS, Shook said he knew he wanted to design structures, so he thought he wanted to be an architect. After learning more, he realized his problem-solving skills were suited more to the engineering side and not the creative. He gives kudos to several of his FHS teachers for helping prepare him for the world outside of high school - teachers like Daryl Trent, Steve Specht and Diann Hill.

We look forward to seeing more good things coming from David Shook - as a student and a structural engineer. Hats off and best wishes to future successes!
