Izetta Sparks Elementary School recently hosted well-known author Gordon Korman. The author visit was provided by Scholastic after Sparks won first place in the semi-annual Book fair contest sponsored by the company. In addition to the author visit, Sparks was awarded a $2,000 shopping voucher. Korman visited with students and faculty about his career and the importance of reading. He is the author of One False Step second in the The 39 Clues series and other childrens books. |
