| Chandler Chosen as a Regional Director of Texas Council of Math Teachers |

| Tammy Chandler, FISD Elementary Math Coordinator, has been elected as a board member to the Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics as the Northeast Regional Director for the 2010-11 school year. There are six volunteer regional directors for the state. Chandler’s responsibilities will be carried out mostly via e-mail and conference calls and her participation in actual meetings will occur at the state conference, which she already attends as a math coordinator. “I believe Tammy will garner excellent professional development through this opportunity, and she will also make additional professional contacts with colleagues state-wide,” said Debbie Jarzombek, Director of Elementary Instruction. |
