Wakeland Visual Art students attended the Regional VASE (The Visual Art Scholastic Event) competition on February 20th in Plano. Eight-five artworks were entered, 60 pieces received a Superior Rating, and 25 pieces received an Excellent Rating. Several WHS students are also advancing to the State VASE Event in Houston on April 9th and 10th.

Congratulations to these students for all their hard work. They will be leaving WHS on April 9th at 9:00 am.

March is Youth Art Month (YAM). Artwork will be on display all week (3/1 until 3/5) at the CTE center for all secondary schools. A viewing reception for WHS students will be 3/4 from 6 to 7:30 pm.
