Three Wakeland High School students placed in the Association of Texas Photography Instructors 2009 Fall Contest.

• Junior Megan Crabtree received 1st place honors for her Fashion photo.
• Sophomore Jacob Mehr placed 1st in the advertising photo division.
• Junior Whitney Straw placed 3rd with her student life photo.

The students are all first semester photojournalism students of Margie Raper. ATPI is a state-wide organization to provide information and resources to teachers and students that work with photography, whether in art, journalism, industrial technology, or vocational curriculum areas. ATPI received well over a 1000 entries in multiple categories for their state-wide fall photo contest.
