Seniors, Have you Ordered your Cap and Gown?

Jostens is the supplier of caps, gowns and announcements. If you have not yet ordered your cap, gown and/or announcements, please visit Jostens’ website at www.texasgradshop.com or call them directly at 972-612-5873.

Graduation Tickets:

Seniors will receive graduation tickets at graduation practice on May 31st. Students must show up for graduation practice if you plan to walk across the stage at graduation. Student must also be cleared from all hold lists before they receive tickets after graduation practice.

Diplomas:

Diploma pick up will be Monday June 4th through Friday June 8th at the FHS Front Office. The office will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Here is a listing of important dates for Seniors to know about. This information will be updated more as the school year goes on.

  • Blood Drives: Oct 28 and March 9

  • Cap and Gown Orders: Online, see the story above.
  • Cap and Gown Delivery: March 28
  • Service Hours: These are due April 1 to Ms. Utt, our Data Clerk.
  • Prom: Saturday, April 28 at the Frisco Convention Center
  • Baccalaureate and Rose Cutting Ceremony: Sunday, May 20 5:00 pm at stonebriar community church
  • Awards Night: Monday May 21st.
  • Sunset Picnic: Thursday, May 23. More information to come.
  • Senior Day: Thursday, May 24 at 8:00 AM at the Stonebriar Community Church
    ** This date will depend on the weather and may move**
  • Graduation Rehearsal: Thursday, May 31 from 4:30 – 6:30 PM in the FHS Gym.
    *You must attend Rehearsal if you wish to walk the stage*
  • Graduation: Friday, June 1 at 3:30 PM at Dr. Pepper StarCenter

Registering with Selective Service:

Under federal law, all men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Those who fail to register can be denied important opportunities like student loans, government jobs and a drivers license. The fastest way to register is online at www.sss.gov or there are forms in the Registrar's office at FHS.

Confused about College?

Have questions about college life? Need someone to ask about life after High School and you just don't know where to go? Did you know that FHS has a Go Center? Our Go Center is staffed with college students from UNT's G-Force Program. They are here to help you answer those questions for all schools, not just UNT.

They can help you fill out financial aide forms, answer questions about the different types of schools out there, and even help you fill out college applications. Sign up to visit today in the counselor's office.

The Go Center is located in B101, and is only open Wednesdays from 9 - Noon.
