Howard Roach, president of the Plano Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution, honored fourth grade student, Jesus Lara, for the heroic act of saving a baby who had fallen in a pool. Jesus's parents, Henry and Esmeralda, joined him at the Good Morning Taylor October 7. The visiting SAR members also led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Students at Taylor Elementary are participating in the Dallas Stars "Stick with Reading" program this year! Mrs. Huff and Ms. Vargas, along with the Dallas Stars, hosted a Dallas Stars Reading Rally. Half Price Books is a sponsor of the program and donated book carts and a skid of books to Taylor.

Teachers and students participated in the annual Taylor Vocabulary Parade. Each student had the opportunity to dress as a vocbaulary word for our parade. There was one winner per grade level. Students had a wonderful showing off their creativity!
