Dear Parents:
Attached you will find a copy of the State of Texas 2010-2011 School Report Card for our school. This report, required by the Texas Legislature, is provided by the state for all public schools. The School Report Card (SRC) contains student performance data as well as information concerning financial expenditures, average class sizes, and student/teacher ratios.
If you have questions about the SRC, the Glossary for the 2010-11 Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) contains detailed definitions and sources of data for all of the information. The Glossary can be viewed and/or downloaded from the following website:
http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/perfreport/aeis/2011/glossary.html
State law requires that the SRC include data for the state, the district, the school, and a group of schools similar to our school. The information must be reported for student groups based on ethnicity and socioeconomic status and must include at least two years of data, if possible. The SRC contains different sets of data for elementary, middle, and high schools.
The School Report Card is very important to us at Spears Elementary. We are very proud of the progress our students have made each year and the recognition our school has received. We will continue to help each child excel to his/her fullest potential by providing exemplary educational experiences. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Martha Moroch
