The Pink Elementary Honor Choir Prepares for State Convention
On February 9th, the Pink Elementary Honor Choir, under the direction of our music teacher, Marisa Wester, will make a six-hour bus ride to San Antonio, Texas to perform at the 2012 Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) state convention. This past summer, the choir participated in a state-wide competition by submitting a recording of the 2011 spring concert to the TMEA selection committee. Out of the entire state of Texas, the Pink Honor Choir was one of only four elementary school choirs invited to perform at this year’s convention.
The Honor Choir will be presenting a preview concert of their TMEA performance at the Wakeland High School auditorium at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7th. Please come and support our amazing young musicians as they prepare for their debut TMEA performance.
