As I begin my 31st year in education, I can truly say that the best years of my career have been spent in Frisco ISD at Ruth Borchardt Elementary School!  I am a graduate of Grand Prairie High School and received both an undergraduate and graduate degree of education from East Texas State University which is now Texas A&M-Commerce.  Fifteen years of teaching experience in both Austin ISD and Commerce ISD helped me reach my goal to serve as an elementary administrator and I am now beginning my 16th year in that role.

My husband, Kenneth, and I are the parents of two adult children.  Our son, Dr. T. Alex King, practices family medicine in Austin and is married to our daughter-in-law, NuNu. Our daughter, Caroline, is a surgical nurse at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. 

My sister, Terry Peters, an elementary school principal in Rockwall ISD, has made me promise that one day she and I will write a book about our many collective experiences in education.  It will prove to be a best seller!
