Although I’m a veteran educator of 20+ years, the most rewarding experience that I’ve had to date is serving as the principal of Calvin Bledsoe Elementary. It is an honor to work with the students, parents, and staff of our school and to be a part of the wonderful Frisco ISD. Prior to opening Bledsoe in 2005, I served as Assistant Principal at Shawnee Trail Elementary School here in FISD. I have also taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades in elementary schools here in FISD, as well as in Mesquite ISD. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from what is now Texas A&M Commerce, and received my Administrative Certification from the University of North Texas.

As a native Texan, growing up in Gainesville and Sherman, I remember traveling through Frisco when it was just a stop sign on our way to Ft. Worth. My how times have changed!!  My husband, Charles, and I moved to Frisco 10 years ago, and we just celebrated our 38th anniversary. We have two wonderful daughters who are grown and married. Stephanie and her husband live in Little Rock, AR, and they have given us three beautiful grandchildren – Emily – 7, Ansley – 6, and Hudson – 3. Our daughter Traci and her husband live in Mesquite, and they have little Hunter, who is currently 4 months old. We are truly blessed!
