The program interweaves five themes: content delivery, a computer business simulation, presentation skills development, laboratory tours and the progressive development of a plan for a new business based on their original ideas. CSI: Dallas Summer Camp

University of Texas at Dallas Criminology Program

This hands-on introduction to the forensic sciences will show students what the TV shows don’t, as they take a real-world look at crime scene investigations.

Sessions will cover evidence collection, search procedures, crime scene documentation, interviewing techniques and more. Then students will solve a “real crime” by collecting
latent fingerprints, casting shoe impressions and searching for DNA evidence on a “crime scene” using real crime scene investigation equipment.

The CSI summer camp — led by a former U.S. Army crime scene investigator and criminology graduate students — will focus on providing a positive, safe and challenging experience specifically designed for 8th through 11th grade students. Students enrolled in a camp also will stay overnight in a UT Dallas dormitory.
