2010 Shirley Cooper Award
The CTEC was awarded the 2010 Shirley Cooper Award for “best meeting the educational needs of its students.” The award is an national honor that is offered jointly by the American Association of School Administrators, the American Institute of Architects, and the Council of Education Facility Planners International. 2009 Terrazzo Honor Award
The CTE Center has been honored with a 2009 Terrazzo Honor Award from the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association for the innovative use of recycled products to produce an illuminating and artistic terrazzo floor. The school is one of 14 national winners. For full story click here.
2009 Exhibit of School Architecture Award
Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center won special recognition as outstanding secondary school project in this year’s TASA/TASB Exhibition of School Architecture. The project won citations in all six categories of judging. The award categories include: value, process of planning, design, educational appropriateness, innovation, and sustainability.
