Frisco High School Art Student’s Flag Design Chosen for Youth Art Month (January, 2006)

Logan FairLogan Fair, junior at Frisco High School, has had his flag depicting cowboy on horseback illuminated by a rising sun on a backdrop representation of the Texas flag chosen to represent the state during Youth Art Month (YAM), according to an announcement made by the Texas Art Education Association.

Fair is a student of June Waggener. The winning design is currently being made into a flag. Beginning in March, one flag from each state will be raised at the congressional Arts Caucus Reception as part of the 2006 National Arts Advocacy Day Conference at Washington D.C.. The celebration will conclude at the YAM exhibit and flag display at the National Art Material Trade Association Convention in Boston. The Texas YAM flag will be showcased at the TAEA conference in Forth Worth.
