Teachers on Ice Scheduled(March, 2008)

Teachers on IceThe Frisco Education Foundation will host the fifth annual TEACHERS ON ICE, at the Dr, Pepper Star Center’s Deja Blue Arena March 27, 2008.  Face Off is at 6:30 PM.  This hilarious grudge match pits teachers and staff against each other in a rollicking test of fun and skill.  Celebrity coaches FISD Superintendent Rick Reedy and City of Frisco Mayor Mike Simpson compete to see who will be this year’s winner of the FISD Stanley Bucket.

Students, staff and parents cheer for their favorite players with banners.  This highly anticipated event opens the final leg of the school year on a positive note for staff and students.

Approximately 1000 adults and children had a great time last year.  A trophy will also be given to the school with the “Most Fans in the Stands” with Borchardt Elementary as the defending champion of this award.

TEACHERS ON ICE is a fundraiser for the Frisco Education Foundation supporting the Frisco Independent School District’s scholarship and grant program. The mission of the Foundation is to provide scholarships for students and classroom grant for teachers in the Frisco Independent School District.  Since the first FEF Scholarship Night in May of 2000, the foundation has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships and approximately $100,000 in teacher grants.
