Swim and Diving Program Shines at District Competition (February, 2008)

Coach Mandy Moore, Emily Reames and Patrick SteinesThe Frisco swimming teams from all four high schools in Frisco ISD took the top four rankings at the 6-4A District Meet in the girls division and three schools took the top spots in the boys division, announced David Kuykendall, FISD Athletic Director. This continues Frisco ISD’s reputation for strong swimming and diving programs that have resulted in multiple regional and state championships.

At this year’s district meet results were:

Centennial girls took 1st, Liberty girls, 2nd, Wakeland girls, 3rd and Frisco High School girls took 4th. 

Frisco High School boys took 1st, Centennial boys took 2nd and Wakeland boys took 3rd.

FISD also took every Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Award.

  • Emily Reames of FHS was named District Outstanding Female Diver.
  • Patrick Steines, Centennial High School, was named District Outstanding Male Diver.
  • Hannah Ellis, Centennial High School, was named District Outstanding Female Swimmer.
  • Colin Nix, Frisco High School,  Outstanding Male Swimmer.
  • Ronnie Rogers, Centennial High School, was District Girls Coach of the Year and Eubanks was named District Boys Coach of the Year.
