Noon Rotary Spotlights Seniors (January 26, 2006)

Gurbinder Jassar and Lauren CouchEach month, the Frisco Noon Rotary Club spotlights the academic achievements of outstanding FISD seniors.

On Thursday, January 26, 2006, the club recognized the accomplishments of Lauren Couch and Gurbinder Jassar.
Lauren is the daughter of Brad and Annette Couch. She is active in band; she is drum major and plays the oboe. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and is a National Merit Semifinalist. She works at Frisco Eye Associates and is also involved with Global Missions Fellowship. Lauren plans to major in Biomedical Engineering and has applied to several universities.

Gurbi is the son of Kulwant and Kelly Jassar. He is active in varsity soccer and is a member of National Honor Society. He is an AP Scholar and has received the Humanitarian Award. He volunteered 100-plus hours at Medical Center Plano and the Titan Soccer Camp. He also attended a summer educational experience at Cambridge.

Gurbi is undecided in his major but has applied to several universities.
