Rotary Spotlight (September, 2008)

Christian Ibanez and Bronwyn LarsenEach month, the Frisco Rotary Club, which meets at noon, honors outstanding Frisco ISD seniors for their accomplishments and achievements.

On Thursday, September 18, Rotarians recognized Frisco High seniors Christian Ibanez and Bronwyn Larsen.

Christian is the son of Carlo and Josephine Ibanez. He is active in National Honor Society, serving as service chair and leading the tutoring program. Christian is ranked first in his class and was recently named a National Merit Semifinalist.  He also works at the YMCA. He plans to attend Johns Hopkins University to pursue a career in medicine. Christian moved to Frisco in fourth grade.

Bronwyn is the daughter of Mark and Gwen Larsen. The Larsens moved to Frisco several years ago from Canada. She is active in National Honor Society, National Art and French Honor Societies, along with Math and Science Club. Her works have been selected for the TASB/TASA Joint Annual Convention art exhibit and she placed first in District UIL Literary Criticism. She also won the Frisco Heritage Association Essay Contest. She plans to return to Canada to attend university.
