Two Liberty High School students were special guests on January 19 at the Rotary Club that meets at noon at Dave and Busters. Each month the club spotlights good students who are active in service to their school and community.
Larissa Pavich, daughter of Gordon and Teressa Pavich, is a junior at LHS. She plays club soccer for Liverpool. Her love of sports has carried over to her role as sports reporter for the school newspaper. She plans to major in sports marketing and minor in sports journalism.
Pavich has been honored for her efforts to support the troops overseas at Camp Stone. She coordinates efforts with Riddle Elementary School, LHS, businesses and churches to send care packages to soldiers.
At this time she is planning to attend Stephen F. Austin University.
Alex Moch is the son of Danny and Merry Moch. He also is involved with journalism at Liberty High School. He has served on the yearbook staff for three years and is production editor this year.
In June, Moch received his Eagle Scout rank. He is also in the Order of the Arrow. His Eagle Scout project involved making neck pillows for soldiers who were being deployed overseas. He took the pillows to the airport where he presented them to soldiers and thanked them for their service.
Moch has been accepted at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and Schreiner University in Kerrville. He plans to major in History and minor in Political Science. |
