FISD Says Thank you and Good Luck to Retiring Employees (May, 2006)

The end of the school year also marks the end of many people’s long careers with Frisco Independent School District. Principals Debra Carroll-Boyce and LaDonna Polston have announced their retirements. These experienced educational leaders have led two of FISD’s fine elementary schools for several years. Boyce, who is a product of FISD schools, has been principal of Curtsinger since it opened and was principal of Rogers Elementary prior to opening Curtsinger. Polston, who served as assistant principal at Rogers and Curtsinger, opened Anderson Elementary, the first FISD elementary school to open in the Plano side of FISD.

Stevie Pudik, assistant principal of Smith Elementary School, is also retiring. Pudik was the driving force behind Smith’s well-known Veteran’s Day program that set a standard throughout the District.

Counselor Linda Ireland of Rogers Elementary is also retiring from education.

Also retiring this year are Shelly Fleming and Cecillia Newton of Curtsinger. Curtsinger Assistant Principal Dan Parr is leaving education to pursue an entertainment career.

Judy Schauer of the district’s payroll office is retiring after many years as an FISD employee.

Frisco High School is saying farewell to Janece Cox, Jaynee Eshbaugh, Sandy Sage and Nick Nixon.
