Alex NelsonAlex Nelson, a 7th grade student at Pioneer Heritage Middle School, is a member of the Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas (CCGD). Alex has been a member of the chorus since 2002. He auditioned and was selected along with 39 other chorus members to sing with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) in their performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. They performed in Carnegie Hall, in New York City on April 8, 2005.

Alex’s mom stated, “Hearing the chorus sing at the famous Carnegie Hall was absolutely spectacular. Their voices rang out so beautifully that it brought tears to my eyes!” Alex already said that he can’t wait until he goes again! The CCGD will be touring Tuscany, Italy in July of 2006.
