Teachers On Ice Match Still Goes to West Side (May 25, 2007)

Teachers on IceThe annual teachers on ice game was another great success.  Not only did it raise valuable money for the FEF scholarship program, it also provided a lot of fun entertainment for families. It is fair to say that the game was one of the more balanced games seen in years.  After an early  2-0 lead, the West set their sites on the Cup!.  However, the  East side fought back.  Most of the game saw the two sides trading goals.  In the final two minutes of the game, the two sides scored three goals, and the game ended in a 7-7.  In the shoot out, the West won 2-1 behind the goals of Rachelle Mulanax and Beau Schmidt.  The winning coach, Richard Wilkinson, was relieved with the win since it was his job to fill in for the 3 time champ, Dr. Reedy!   All of the participants enjoyed themselves and nobody was seriously injured.  The teachers were very excited to see so many students and their families in attendance.  It was a fun night for all!
