Frisco Noon Rotary Honors Seniors (March, 2007)

March 22 Rotary honoreesEach month, the Frisco Noon Rotary Club highlights the achievements of outstanding FISD seniors.

On Thursday, March 22, Rotarians honored Centennial High School seniors Chanel Matney and Shahram (Sean) Allahyari.
Sean is the son of Mansour Allahyari and Nazanin Moossavi. He moved here three years ago from Scotland. At CHS he has been involved in National Honor Society, Interact Club, Spanish Club and Track and Field. He has been honored as an Academic All-Star and received awards in Spanish I and U.S. History. Sean also volunteers at the Frisco Public Library. He will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas on a full scholarship and he plans to major in pre-med.

Chanel is the daughter of Bill and Suzann Matney. She moved here three years ago from Maryland. At CHS, she has been involved in the concert/symphonic and marching bands; Mu Alpha Theta; Student Government; and National Spanish Honor Society. She has been named a presidential scholar and is a finalist for a McDermott Scholarship at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she has already received a full scholarship to attend. She plans to major in neuroscience with plans to be a pediatric cardiologist.
