Frisco Noon Rotary Honors Seniors (April, 2007)

Rotary HonoreesEach month, the Frisco Noon Rotary Club highlights the achievements of outstanding FISD seniors.

On Thursday, April 12, Rotarians honored Frisco High seniors Amanda Kwong and Jacob Scarbrough. Amanda is the daughter of Frank and Polly Kwong. She has attended Frisco High all four years and has been involved in orchestra, drill team, National Honor Society (VP in 11th grade), Student Council and Spanish Club. She has volunteered at community events and has been employed at Karen Dillard's Test Prep. She plans to attend the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, possibly majoring in finance.

Jacob is the son of David and Laura Scarbrough. He has lived in FISD his whole life, and at FHS he has been involved in the National Honor Society. He is also in the Independent Study Mentorship Program, where he is studying aeronautical engineering. He sometimes volunteers at his sisters' school - Pink Elementary - and he works as a lifeguard in the summer. Jacob plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin, where he will major in aerospace engineering.
