International Sculptor, Jesus Bautista Moroles, Visits FHS AP Art Classes

Jesus Bautista Moroles, visited both the 3-D Design and 2-D Design AP Studio Art classes at Frisco High School. Senior AP Art student, Cristina Mazutis, met the internationally known sculptor while attending his reception at the Dallas Museum of Art earlier in the year. She asked him to come to her 3-D Design class and he agreed!

Jesus Moroles is known nationally and internationally for his public and private granite sculptures including one at Hall Office Park. He is on the board of the Smithsonian. His studio is in Rockport although he travels extensively.

Mr. Moroles showed Cristina’s class slides of his many famous works and answered the students’ questions. He shared with them his life story and advised them as budding artists.
