FISD High Schools Announce Commended National Merit Scholarship Students (September, 2008)

Frisco Independent School District is proud to announce the following high school students have been recognized for their scholarship by the by the National Merit Scholarship program.

Dipanjan Bhattacharya, Dakoby Frazier and Grant Van De Casteele of Centennial High School have been named Commended Students of the 2009 National Merit Scholarship program. Frazier and Pedro Garcia III of Centennial were recognized as scholars for the National Hispanic Recognition Program.

Wendes Gray, Haley Houghton and Rebecca Martinez of Wakeland High School were recognized as Commended Students of the 2009 National Merit Scholarship program.  Martinez, as well as Casey Deres and Ashlee Ringler, received honorable mention recognition from the National Hispanic Recognition Program.

Cindy Bai, Melissa Beaver, Kristine Davis, William Delcambre, Abdul Khan, Nate Mital, Andrew Tran, and Elysse Wudeck of Liberty High School have been recognized as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Sterling Ericsson, Damien Johnson, Jennifer Olbeter, Jeffrey Opoku-Darko, Jaclyn Patterson, Cameron Petty and Matthew Schaul of Frisco High School have  been recognized as Commended Students by National Merit Scholarship program. Opoku-Darko has also been honored by the National Merit Achievement Program for African-Americans and Johnson has also been honored by the National Hispanic Recognition Program.
