Centennial Receives Superior Rating for Fourth Year (October, 2006)

The Centennial High School Band traveled to the Region 24 UIL Marching Contest this past Saturday at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton. The band received straight superior first division ratings from all three judges in attendance. This marks the fourth year in a row (since CHS opened) for the band to earn this prestigious honor. This continues a highly successful streak of competition for the CHS band this season; the band has been a top ten finalist at every contest it has attended, winning best music and marching in its division at each contest. The band will cap of its competitive marching season next week at the Duncanville Marching Invitational on November 4th.
