Titan Band Honored in Regional Competition (October, 2005)

The Centennial High School Band competed in the UIL region marching contest this past Saturday in Carrolton.  The band received straight 1st division ratings from all judges.  This marks the 3rd year consecutive the Titan Band has achieved this honor.  In addition, the CHS Band has now advanced to the UIL Area marching contest, to be held on Saturday, October 29 in Mesquite.  The band will compete against the top 4A bands in the Northeast Texas area for a spot in the state marching contest.  This is a tremendous accomplishment for a program just in its 3rd year of existence.  The band performs at 1:45pm on Saturday at Mesquite Memorial Stadium.
