FHS Students Win at Young American Talent Show
 

Three Frisco High School AP Art students won top awards at the Regional High School Art Young American Talent Show sponsored by the Visual Arts Guild of Booker T. Washington HS for the Performing and Visual Arts at
El Centro College Gallery on Thursday, April 12.

Jesse Waldron, an FHS senior, won 1st place for the digital art category. Second place in mixed media was awarded to Kelly Kazimierczak. Chris Klabunde won 3rd place in printmaking. These students were among those honored at the reception and awards ceremony. The exhibition was March 28th -April 12, 2007. Students were joined by their parents and teacher June Waggener along with Art I teachers Suzanne Blair and Diane Bray.

One hundred and nineteen works were selected from 970 works submitted by art students from the North Texas area. The three top works in each of the 9 categories were recognized. FHS had 8 student works selected for the exhibition with 3 receiving top awards. Students also having work in the exhibition were Rianna Babb, Travis Case, Lauren Howey, Jasmine Kim and Sara Martin.
