Frisco Urban Forestry League Plants Trees at Ashley and Fisher (November, 2007)

Dale Smeal  explains how trees age to Ashley ElementaryThe Urban Forestry League conducted its education program at Ashley and Fisher recently, planting a Red Oak at Ashley and a Live Oak at Fisher. The forestry league plants trees at Frisco Independent School District schools each year and also teaches students about the environmental importance of trees.

This year Melanie Cornelius, FISD elementary science instructional specialist, joined Dale Smeal of the Urban Forestry League and Bobby Johnson, Supervisor of Parks to talk to students about planting trees, how trees affect the environment and how Frisco is dedicated to tree planting in parks and at schools.
