Clark Middle School Student Angela Lopez Ramirez was visited in class Friday by Superintendent of Schools Rick Reedy, School Board Member Brenda Polk, Principal Joel Partin, Frisco Education Foundation Director Allison Miller, and other FISD officials to congratulate her on being the 30,000th student to enroll in Frisco ISD. FISD reached the 20,000th milestone during the 2005-2006 school year. Angela and her family moved to Frisco two years ago from Puerto Rico and at that time she attended elementary school in Dallas ISD where her mother teaches. She enrolled for middle school on August 12 and became the 30,000th student. FISD enrollment is now at 30,606. Angela was presented with a t-shirt donated by EmbroidMe that said on the front “You can count on me!” and on the back stated, “30,000th student to enroll in Frisco ISD.” North Dallas Bank and Trust donated $300 in gift checks to commemorate this milestone. She also received certificates for a few free ice cream cones from Baskin Robbins, along with 30 FISD pens and pencils and 30 pieces of candy. The Board will present her with a resolution at the regular meeting on Monday.
