I am committed to maintaining our district’s track record of academic excellence while meeting the challenges of growth and funding. I look forward to working with the entire FISD community as partners in helping us to plan, meet, and overcome future challenges. At times, some tasks will seem daunting but we are equal to the challenge. I believe the education of our children is not just an expense, it is an investment. "

“Many of our citizens had a choice to move to Frisco. One of the overwhelming factors in this choice is the quality of education offered by the Frisco ISD. I look forward to serving as Trustee and building upon the successes of the district in offering unsurpassed educational opportunities for our kids.”

            • Family: wife, Julia; three children, Nathan, Catharine, and Stephanie, who are all FISD graduates.
            • Education: Graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in finance.
            • Profession: Employed by ISG..
            • Community Involvement: Has been involved in many FISD organizations including the Frisco Education Foundation and FHS Band Boosters. He is treasurer of the Frisco Community Development Corporation and is a lifetime member of the Heritage Association.

“I am honored to be part of an amazing team of educators and volunteers that are truly dedicated to keeping FISD a great place for our students to learn and grow! Our administration and past school boards have been successful in maintaining high standards and staying fiscally responsible while experiencing continual, rapid growth. I am so excited to extend my service, as a trustee, and continue being an advocate for everyone in our FISD community.”

Bryan Dodson Bryan Dodson - Place 1

“I am excited about the opportunity to serve and support our hard-working educators' efforts to make our schools the best they can be for our children. My family and many of our neighbors moved to Frisco because of the amazing schools, and I am committed to ensuring the foundation that has been laid continues to be built upon for our students now and into the future.”


            • Frisco ISD resident first in 2004, moved to Houston because of career, returned in 2009
            • Family: wife, Shaye; toddler and infant daughters, Sadie and Sophie
            • Education: Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in journalism
            • Profession: Vice President of Sales with JP Morgan Chase; also worked as a Sales Executive for Yahoo!, MSN and
            • Community Involvement: Served as a city of Frisco Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Member of Pink PTA, past city of Frisco Board of Adjustments Commissioner, Vice President of the Shaddock Creek Homeowners Association.

Renee Ehmke Renée Ehmke - Place 2

"We are lucky here in Frisco to have a community that supports education, which makes our job as a school board that much easier. I hope we can continue to serve the needs of all the children in FISD in ways that allow them to reach their own potential. The outstanding educators that work within our system help us make that a possibility for each child. Our job as a school board is to make sure the policies and procedures are in place for them to best make that happen."

          • Family:Renee has been married to Chad Ehmke since 1988 and they have four children, Kate, Tony, Bo and Sam who are graduates of FISD schools.
          • Profession: bachelor's degree in education and has taught for nine years at both the middle and high school levels in Wichita, Kansas
          • FISD Board Service: First elected in 2004. Served as vice president four years, president for two years.

"Frisco is a great community that I'm proud to call home.  FISD has been a cornerstone of the city and its success and reputation have been a growth engine for Frisco.  I'm honored to serve as a Trustee and look forward to serving our constituents and working with our Board to provide guidance as we move forward."

            • Family: wife, Holly; three children, Savannah, an FISD graduate, and FISD students Christopher and Isabella.
            • Education: Graduate of Baylor University with BBA and MBA degrees.
            • Profession: CFO- Logistics Company
            • Community Involvement: Has been involved in youth sports, served at First Baptist Church, Frisco, as a middle school boys Sunday School teacher, a deacon and on the finance team.
