Admissions Process

Eighth grade students from across Frisco ISD may submit an admissions form to express interest in attending the IB Diploma programme at Frisco High School.

Admissions forms will ONLY be accepted during the following timeframes for the student groups indicated (ending at 11:59 p.m. on each closing date):

  • November 9-30: Existing FISD students entering 9th grade for the 2019-20 school year.  A valid Frisco ISD student ID is needed to complete the admissions form.

  • New to district students will have an opportunity to seek admissions later on a first come first serve basis once enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year begins in late spring.  Additional details will be posted closer to that time.

Parents and students will be notified of their admissions status via email on December 7.  Once notified, parents will have 72 hours to accept or deny the offer to enroll in the FHS IB Diploma Programme. If your student is not initially admitted into the FHS IB Diploma Programme, spots may open up as they become available up until December 19.  The lottery process will continue until all available seats are filled.

Students enrolled in FHS IB Diploma Programme for the 2019-20 school year will be guaranteed acceptance to the school in subsequent years.

Once students are chosen, there will be time in January/February when the IB Campus Coordinator will meet with Cohort 1 students to develop/revise their  4 Year Plan and class schedules.
