Admissions Process

Elementary students from across Frisco ISD may submit an admissions form to express interest in attending Bright Academy. If you live in the Bright attendance zone, you do not need to fill out an admissions form.

Admissions forms will ONLY be accepted during the following timeframes for the student groups indicated (ending at 11:59 p.m. on the closing date):

  • April 12-26: Online admissions form available for all upcoming K*-5 students that are currently enrolled in Frisco ISD. *Incoming kindergarten students must register at his/her “home” campus before completing the admissions form. A valid Frisco ISD student ID is needed to complete the admissions form.

Students will be randomly selected for enrollment using a lottery process based on the number of seats available.

Parents and students will be notified of their admissions status via email on May 3. Once notified, parents will have 72 hours to accept or deny the offer to enroll at Bright Academy. If your student is not initially admitted into Bright Academy, there may still be spots opening up later in the summer as they become available. The lottery process will continue until all available seats are filled.

Students enrolled in Bright Academy for the 2019-20 school year will be guaranteed acceptance to the school in subsequent years.
