Hello! My name is Colleen M. Kugler. I am one of the district’s three In-Home / Parent Trainers. I’m looking forward to working hard to support you and your child and to provide resources and support.
I am originally from Long Island, NY. My husband and I moved to here from the Bronx, NY, 18 years ago. Since then we had two children, Matthew (12 - Cobb Middle School), and Amelia (14 - Wakeland high School). I have been working in the field of special education for a total of 24 years. My teaching career led me to Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, a Houston area private school, a PPCD program in the Bronx, NY, a middle school in Plano, and two elementary schools in Frisco. This is my 11th year as an In-Home / Parent Trainer. I have a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Special Education. My career is my passion and I strive to make every day count. I am full of ideas and I LOVE to learn, to teach, and to be inspired.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, needs, or ideas. I look forward to meeting you and your children and to building a relationship that will enrich our lives and create inspiration and HOPE!
Hello! My name is Kristin Foster and I am excited to be working as an In-Home / Parent Trainer again for the 2018-2019 school year. I serve your campus and will be your contact should you have any questions about what resources we provide as a related service in Special Education.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts, but I married a Texan (& Aggie) more than 20 years ago and have loved living here since the day I arrived! We have 3 children, Nathan (17), and twin girls, Jamison (15) and Jillian (15). I enjoy all things nature & outdoors – gardening, fishing, hiking, biking, and taking care of my pets.
I have a special place in my heart for children with special needs as my niece was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum 16 years ago. I have a personal experience and clearer understanding now about the challenges families with children who have special needs face. I believe in the power of family and strive to assist all families in any way I can.
My background includes working for The Massachusetts Society for The Prevention of Cruelty to Children as a counselor where I completed my Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts/Boston in Educational Counseling / Marriage and Family Therapy. I have provided in-home family therapy to families following a crisis/hospitalization for behavioral and mental health reasons. I have been a Special Education Teacher in a centralized classroom as well as a Resource Teacher for Frisco and Carrollton- Farmer’s Branch. I’ve been working as an In-Home / Parent Trainer for FISD for 10 years and love working with teachers and parents to help bridge the gap between home and school.
Hello! My name is Kimberly Goushey and I am so very excited to begin my seventh year as an In-Home/Parent Trainer with Frisco ISD.
I am originally from South Louisiana…what was intended to be a temporary move to North Texas for graduate school resulted in meeting my husband and happily planting our family’s roots in the Frisco area. Together, we have two children, Bella (12) and Brody (8).
I have served children with special needs and their families for the past 15 years through classroom instruction, consulting and In-Home / Parent Training. My professional career has been devoted to empowering those who are differently-abled… I feel quite blessed to spend each day doing what I love!
I am excited to meet each of you and share in your journey! Please contact me anytime if I can provide value for your family.
