Temporary Online Learning School (EC-6)
Frisco ISD is offering an online learning option in fall 2021 for FISD students in Early Childhood programs through sixth grade. As of August 30, a total of 8,363 returning and new-to-FISD students were enrolled in this option. View enrollment by campus.
On Sept. 17, Frisco ISD announced it would continue to provide online learning for students currently enrolled in this option through at least the end of the fall semester. This option will continue to be reevaluated and extended as necessary until a COVID-19 vaccine becomes widely available for children under 12. An online option is not available for students in grades 7-12 since the COVID-19 vaccine is authorized and strongly encouraged for all individuals age 12 and older.
Enrollment in the online learning option in the 2021-22 school year is now closed to existing Frisco ISD students. Parents who want their online students to change to in-person learning for the second nine weeks should contact their home campus principal the week of Oct. 4-8 to request a change to on-campus instruction. Due to the desire to provide as much stability and instructional continuity as possible for students and teachers, in-person students will not be permitted to switch to online learning at this time.
NEW TO DISTRICT STUDENTS
New to Frisco ISD students entering grades EC-6 will have the option to sign up for online learning at the time of enrollment through the 2021-22 new student registration process. Frisco ISD's online school is not available to non-District students whose primary residence is located outside of FISD.
