Communication Channels

Media Inquiries

Reporter inquiries should come through the Communications Department, which can facilitate access to information and interviews. Schools can utilize the Communications Department to facilitate coverage of an event.

Cable Channel

Our cable channel provides access to FISD Board Meetings, announcements, select campus events, student broadcasts and special projects.

Web Services

The FISD maintains its own website as a primary source of information and communication for its publics. Questions regarding the FISD website can be referred to the Communications Department.

School Messenger

Schools and the District can utilize this phone messaging system to communicate important or emergency information to parents. Please make sure your current primary phone number and email address are on file at your child’s campus.

Home Access

Parents of middle and high school students can obtain a username and password from the school to utilize this tool for real-time information on grades, assignments, attendance, contact information, schedules, etc. Parents can also email teachers through this tool. Each school has a Home Access Help link that takes parents to the person who can help set them up in this system.

Elementary Take-home Folders

Contact the individual school or the Communications Office for inquiries regarding school-related content in Take-home folders.
