Dallas Symphony Orchestra Conducts Master Classes for FISD Students

  • Dallas Symphony Orchestra players will conduct Master Classes for Frisco ISD students on May 1 and 2. These classes are part of DSO’s outreach to the community in advance of the DSO on the GO: Beethoven Strauss Brahms – Frisco concert at Stonebriar Community Church on Saturday, May 13. The Master Classes will be conducted from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the following locations: May 1 at Lebanon Trail High School (double bass and harp); May 1 at Independence High School (cello); May 2 at Lone Star High School (clarinet); May 2 at Wakeland High School (oboe); May 2 at Lebanon Trail High School (trombone and tuba); and May 2 at Independence High School (percussion). A meet and greet for clinicians, students and teachers will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m. following each class. At some locations, music stores Williamson-Music First and Dallas Strings will have display tables available for students to try out various instruments. Students who wish to play for the Master Classes should contact their music teacher.
